Two to love! With a adorable two year old and new twin boys, this family will have some fun days ahead! At just over 5 weeks old they were just over 5 pounds when they came to Legacy Portraits. It has been a while since I have had such tiny ones in my studio! The only way I could tell them apart was that one had a tiny scratch on his nose. I have edited it out in their portraits so… one is Owen and one is Oliver! I just do not know who is who! They are both very cute and cuddly!

I know they will grow so quickly. The newborn period goes by in a frantic sleep deprived haze. How will you remember? Legacy Portraits can help!

While here for a quick visit we made some time for family photos. These were taken last year and I never put them on my website. Family sometimes takes a back seat. Anyway, this family has grown and changed so very quickly. It’s crazy to think that the oldest daughter is now in the double digits!

The girls are very fortunate to have not only 4 grandparents but, also 4 great-grandparents!! Since the great grandparents were here as well, we had to include them in some photos. Family times together are so important. I know that being in front of the camera can be awkward and uncomfortable. Even if you do not want photos for yourself, it is so special for your family. How will you remember?? Legacy Portraits can help!

Eighteen years ago I had the privilege of photographing this now young man as he took his very first breaths in this world! It truly was an honor to be there to witness! The years have flown by and he will soon be graduating high school. It seems like just yesterday! It’s crazy how a photograph can take you right back to that moment! When he was born we did not have the massive amounts of cell phone photos taken. I was shooting black and white film which I processed and printed in my basement darkroom! Yes, times have changed. However, there still is nothing like having printed photographs! Hard drives fail, cell phones die. And the cloud??! I think about how this generation is the most photographed ever. But then I wonder if they will have anything to show for it when technology changes or fails and digital photos are corrupted. I have prints that are over 100 years old!! Prints can be made from another print but, once a digital file is corrupt, it is most likely gone forever. How will you preserve your cherished memories?

I recently had one of my favorite 5-year-olds at Legacy Portraits. I have had the privilege of photographing her at least once a year since she was just 6 months old. It has been fun to watch her grow and see her personality develop! She has an adorable personality and really kept me on my toes! She gave me so many different facial expressions that I just had to put some of them together in a collage. Every year we recreate an image of them holding hands with her in the center. They have a wall of canvases of this same pose! It is a fantastic way to watch her grow.

With the pandemic, it has been a while since I have a a newborn in my studio. I sure have missed the snuggles! This adorable little bundle was fun to photograph! Though he was awake most of the time, he was very content. With newborns you get what you get! As long as baby is not terribly upset, we just keep going. I did get some sleeping shots but, even some that he appears to be sleeping, were just quick blinks. He didn’t want to miss anything! I thought he did great! He is such a cute baby. I just love his little birdie legs! I know he will fill out fast! I’m glad his parents have these images to look back on forever
