I had a fun time photographing this adorable 9-month-old! When she first arrived she was not sure what to think of me or my studio. Her facial expressions went from somber to pensive to curious and finally to smiles! I think she decided she really liked me because there were many smiles to come! She has a very endearing personality. She was at a great age for her photo shoot. She was just on the verge of crawling. When she came back for the ordering appointment she had figured it out and there was not stopping her! Amazing the difference a couple weeks can make!
I had the best time loving on and photographing these animals! They are all such great pets! The only problem is...all these fun loving and beautiful animals reside at the Fayette County Animal Shelter! While the people there are wonderful and the place is very clean, it is not a home. Staff and volunteers do their very best to give attention to every animal but, it is not enough. These animals all need a home. Look at all the sweet faces! For whatever reason, each of these animals has been let down by their human. If you are thinking of adding a pet to your home, check out the shelters. But, before you do that, understand that having a pet is a life-long commitment! Be certain that you can be a responsible pet owner and then, pick your pet. Is your next family member in one of these photos? I hope so!!
I had the great pleasure of capturing the milestone moments in this little guy's first year of life! As a baby planner, he came in for 4 sessions beginning at just one week old and completing his last session at one year! So many changes have taken place in a such a short time! He has come a long way! I truly appreciate the parents who make the time to have professional photographs taken. I know what a hassle it can be to get young children to the photographer! It is so worth it in the end though! He now has a beautiful leather covered album documenting his growth and changes over this year. When his family looks at his "1 Short Year" album, I hope they cherish each image. Baby Plan graduate!! Please don't wait too long to come back and see me!! Such a big boy. What a great year it has been!
These special little girls are my all time favorite subjects! They just happen to be my granddaughters!! They live in another state so I do not get to see them as often as I would like. When I am with them you can bet my camera is close by! These photos were taken a couple of months ago. With other work, I am just getting around to editing them. They are growing so fast! I think they are taller even since I took these photos! With no way to slow them down, I get all the photos that I can. Making memories and trying to preserve childhood with each click of the shutter.
There is nothing like the feeling of a brand new baby in your arms. It always amazes me how squishy and moldable they are. This adorable baby girl did amazingly well at her newborn portrait session! She was a tiny one at just over 5 1/2 pounds. She gave me several sweet little smiles and she had the cutest back rolls! Yes, back rolls on a tiny baby are super cute!! I know it is only a matter of days that she will not be able to mimic the womb poses. I was so glad her mom and grandma (Cookie...so cute!) decided to bring her to Legacy Portraits. Congratulations to this new family! She is one precious baby! I know you will enjoy looking back on this time when she was so small.
