The adorable little one was photographed by me as a newborn. I can't believe she is 1-year-old already! In honor of her first birthday, her parents brought her to Legacy Portraits for a fun portrait session. She was full of smiles, silly faces and just plain fun! Her first year has gone so fast! There have been so many changes in such a short time. I am happy to be able to give her family reminders of this brief period of babyhood. What a cutie she is!!

This smart and adorable girl has come to Legacy Portraits for 4 years to have her Christmas card photos taken! There is not bigger compliment than a repeat customer! I have to admit, she is one of my favorites to photograph. She has the best personality along with good looks and a dimpled grin. She just melts me! I think she thought I was crazy when I told her she would see reindeer in her final photos! She was a good sport and held the apple out to feed the "reindeer" even though she felt a bit silly. If you believe...magical things can happen!!
Everyone wants the "perfect" family photo! With a 10-month-old and a three-year-old, that ideal photo is hard to achieve! I think perfection is shown in their unique personalities. The little wiggles of the baby and the silly faces of the 3-year-old capture this family perfectly at this time in their lives! We did get some wall worthy shots but, I personally love the in between shots that showcase this family and their relationships. I think my favorite of all in this shoot is the three-year-old in his mommy's arms. The way he looks at her with such love and innocence just melts my heart! He is a very active and silly boy! In his mother's arms, he is wrapped in the moment, completely loved and at peace. These photographs were taken at their gorgeous "new" historic home! What a great place!
This adorable family drove all the way from Marietta to have their family portraits taken! With two children under that age or two, that is quite an undertaking! I know how difficult it is to make time for family photos! I wish I had done it more with my children when they were little. I treasure the photos that I have but, I still wish I had more professional portraits taken. I have all the school photos, the church directory portraits, the soccer pics and all the goofy every day pics. I still wish I had more! I can't go back in time. I can create memories for other families but, the time I had with my little ones is long gone. It is my goal for 2017 to get my children and their children together for a real family portrait. I know how difficult it is!! But, it is so worth the trouble!
Last year I photographed his older brother for his senior portraits. This year it was his turn. These boys have inherited some great genes! They are both handsome and intelligent. They are also both Eagle Scouts! The rank of Eagle Scout is achieved by only 4 percent of all scouts! It is no easy task. I know his parents are incredibly proud of both sons. I was glad to have to opportunity to photograph them. I love that he wore his kilt for some of his photos!!
