I, along with 8 others from Senoia United Methodist Church, recently took a mission trip to Guatemala. We spent the time there working at La Senda children’s home and school. It was an amazing experience that I will not forget! The plan is to build a personal relationship with those at La Senda and return every year. I know I would love to go back! It was a lot of work but so very worth it. The children of La Senda were so welcoming and loving. My Spanish is nonexistent but somehow we made it work! As the official photographer for the group, I took over 1000 photos. Here are just some of my favorites. As you can tell, I am a huge black and white fan! I guess that goes back to my darkroom days! We are all so very thankful for the support of the community who prayed for us, supported our fundraising efforts and made donations.
