Senoia Photographer Earns Master of Photography

Lori Kolbenschlag of Legacy Portraits recognized for superior image making and photographic service with a degree from Professional Photographers of America.

Senoia, January 24, 2019- Lori Kolbenschlag, CPP (certified professional photographer) of Legacy Portraits in Senoia has earned the Master of Photography degree from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). The degree was presented to Kolbenschlag by PPA president Stephen Thetford, at the association’s annual convention, Imaging USA, held January 20-22, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Earning the degree means that Kolbenschlag has met the standards of excellence set by PPA.  She has been awarded this degree in recognition of her superior photographic competence demonstrated through photographic competition, advanced education and service to the profession. In 2019, she was one of only 95 recipients internationally to earn this degree.

Lori Kolbenschlag, CPP, is owner and photographer at Legacy Portraits.  Her studio is located near Peachtree City, Georgia, in the historic town of Senoia.  As an international award-winning photographer, her specialty is photographing newborns, children and young families.  Photography is an integral part of a family’s legacy, and capturing images that preserve a memory forever is her passion. Children grow up much too fast, and newborns change daily.  There is no better way to capture those moments than investing in a professional photographer.

Professionally trained with a degree in commercial photography and digital imaging, Lori is an active member of the Professional Photographers of America, the American Society of Photographers and the Senoia Arts Collective.  Lori also shares her talent through three non-profits - Special Kids Photography of America, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, and The Tiny Sparrow Foundation

Special Kids Photography of America caters to the unique needs of children with disabilities.  Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep trains, educates, and mobilizes professional photographers to provide beautiful heirloom portraits to families facing the untimely death of an infant.  The Tiny Sparrow Foundation provides professional photography to families of children with life threatening illnesses.

Coweta, Fayette Newborn Photographer

This cute little squish was a whole month old when he came in for his portrait session! Normally I like to have newborns come in before the age of two weeks. Due to illness on my part we had to wait. Fortunately for me, he did great! He was not a fan of being on his tummy though! Is he not just the most adorable thing?! I do have the best job!!

Coweta and Fayette Senior Portraits

I’m always amazed at how quickly children grow up when you don’t see them all the time. I photographed this beautiful young lady with her family about 5 years ago. She is now a senior in high school and making plans for her future! I have to say, she did make my job easy! Such a pretty girl and was very cooperative, even when I asked her to pose is a field of tall weeds!! Thank you for allowing Legacy Portraits to create memories of your senior year!

Walking Dead Location Shoot

This lucky young lady got the experience of a lifetime when her mom won an auction item!! The auction was held for the Guatemala Mission Fund at Senoia United Methodist Church. The owners of the infamous Walking Dead “Pudding House” and “Coma House” donated their locations for the photo shoot and I donated the photography. This sweet girl was giddy with excitement when it came time for her photo session! She could not wait to go back home to Alabama and tell all her friends! What a cutie!

Coweta Family Photos

When children grow up and start their own lives it becomes so much harder to get everyone together! This family is scattered in Costa Rica, Virginia and Georgia. I’m so glad they decided to schedule a portrait session while everyone was here in Georgia! Making memories that last a lifetime. I hope this family will look back on these photographs with joy. Photographs are meant to be enjoyed in the moment and treasured for a lifetime. Is your family due for a Legacy Portrait?
